EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN

Students will work in groups to find and provide context to complete a timeline based on the history of East New York. The educator will divide students into groups and assign them an event on the East New York Timeline Worksheet and the partnering documents in the Riding the J Train: East New York Document PDF. Students will work together and write a paragraph about their assigned date in groups, using primary and secondary sources.
